Cris Sims
@crissims
IT Specialist specializing in Cisco networking, Windows servers, and secure Active Directory management.
What I'm looking for
I’m an IT Systems Analyst Sr focused on keeping networks and endpoints reliable, secure, and easy for staff to use. I assist with installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of desktop computers, peripherals, and core software, while providing customer support for wired and wireless connectivity and collaboration technologies.
My background includes extensive work with Windows servers (2003, 2008, ‘08R2, 2012, and 2019) and Office 365, along with deep experience in Active Directory. I’m also experienced in Cisco equipment (switches and routers), penetration testing, permissions, and security protocols—plus using tools like SolarWinds and Kaspersky for management and protection.
I bring a service-minded helpdesk approach (including ServiceNow-style tracking) with strong troubleshooting and escalation practices. I’ve coordinated vendor upgrades, created accounts with proper permissions in Cerner, and mentored new employees; I’m currently studying for my CCNA to deepen my network capabilities.
