NMI is looking for an experienced, high energy, goal-oriented Director of People Operations who is inspired and excited to lead the People Operations team. The Ideal candidate will be a dynamic, hands-on leader with deep business acumen, strategic insight, sound judgment, a positive attitude, and a genuine desire to help us lead an extraordinary team. Our People Operations leader will oversee all aspects of our People practices and processes. To us, a People Ops leader is the go-to person for all employee-related issues and helps management to drive growth and performance of teams alongside culture. This means that your duties will involve managing activities such as HR systems, compensation, benefits, compliance, M&A, employee relations and people analytics.
The job of a People Ops leader is critical to business success. Responsibilities:
- Lead and coach a team of People Ops Specialists
- Develop and implement People strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
- Champion the company culture through employee relations by addressing issues, grievances or other areas related to team or company morale
- Develop and monitor overall People operations, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
- Implement a compensation system to include salary bands, levels and ranges, and maintain for all geographies globally
- Lead due diligence for all M&A activity as it relates to HR operations (payroll, benefits, compliance, systems, etc.)
- Manage global benefits programs to ensure recruitment and retention of top talent
- Develop and manage a set of People metrics and analytics to support company growth and measure success of People programs and operations
Requirements
- Proven working experience as People Operations Director or other HR leadership role (5-7 years)
- People oriented and results driven toward organizational directives
- Demonstrable experience with People metrics and analytics
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases
- Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
- Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
- In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
- Degree in Human Resources or related field, or HR certification preferred
