Mário Pissas
@mariopissas
I've built and scaled payments, fintech, and self-checkout retail businesses from strategy through profitable exit.
What I'm looking for
I cofounded Convenience, a self-checkout retail concept that grew to 40+ locations and 4,500+ households, generating US$2.25M in revenue through a fully self-funded model. I led its strategic sale in 2026, managing buyer diligence, valuation, negotiation, SPA, and the post-close integration roadmap.
I bring 15+ years of leadership across payments, fintech, retail, and digital transformation. At Credsystem, I owned an US$80M retail partner portfolio, led revenue and profitability initiatives, and delivered double-digit partner-margin improvements through pricing strategy and tailored financial products.
I've owned P&L, cash-flow forecasting, FP&A, product roadmaps, GTM strategy, partnership ecosystems, and end-to-end product lifecycles. I use Agile concepts, Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and cross-functional roadmaps to accelerate delivery and align technology, operations, sales, and commercial teams.
I've led teams of up to 12 direct reports, negotiated with C-suite leaders and investors, and built supplier and retail partnerships that improved margins and distribution. I'm trilingual in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
