A remote BDR or SDR seat selling to small businesses, with a clear path into a full-cycle closing role.

@joshuazamora
Quota-carrying AT&T sales rep selling to small business owners. Nine years in restaurants, hotels, and real estate before telecom.
What I'm looking for
I go by Gabe. I sell for AT&T in Knoxville, mostly to small business owners: gas station, liquor store, and restaurant owners, alongside consumers at a high-volume corporate retail location. I carry a 15-metric monthly scorecard and went from hitting 3 of 15 goals my first month on the floor to 11 last month, peaking at 300% of goal on fixed-wireless internet and 275% on business account activations. I rank in the top one to three of my store and hit #2 in the Southeast on the daily leaderboard this month.
Day to day I run discovery with every decision-maker in the conversation, pull a prospect's current bill and build a matched quote against it, and work unclosed sales back as leads in Salesforce on a weekly cadence. Management appointed me the subject matter expert for home tech protection, so I coach reps on shift on talk tracks and objection responses and speak on district leadership calls.
Before telecom I spent nine years in restaurants, hotels, and real estate. I closed 16 transactions in 28 months at RE/MAX off cold calls, open houses, and social content I produced myself. I helped launch a restaurant and bar inside a new hotel, built the signature cocktail program, and took pitches from liquor and beverage brand reps. Across four industries I learned ten business systems on the job.
What I want next is a full-cycle closing seat.

The Wayback Hotel, Tribute Portfolio by Marriott
Aug 2023 - Jun 2025 (1 year 10 months)
Led the end-to-end launch of a new restaurant and bar, building workflows, service standards, and operational structure. Wrote the FOH training manual and onboarded 15+ staff, while managing inventory, scheduling, and beverage program development.
Guest Services Representative
The Wayback Hotel, Tribute Portfolio by Marriott
Aug 2023 - Jan 2024 (5 months)
Opened the front desk at a 134-room property, handling check-in, room assignments, group blocks, and billing disputes in Lightspeed. Captured guest requirements at booking and on arrival and recorded them to the guest profile so they carried into future stays.
Closed 16 transactions in 28 months from leads cold-called from the corporate funnel, leads fed by a group leader, and personal referrals, calling first, then following up by email. Hosted open houses and produced social content to generate business the funnel did not supply. Specialized in first-time buyers, running deals remotely start to finish.
