Himalayas Plus is a subscription that includes unlimited AI career tools for $9/month. It includes AI resume building, cover letter generation, mock interviews, career coaching, AI headshots, and daily job alerts. A Max tier at $29/month adds more headshots and extended voice interview time.

What is the difference between Free, Plus, and Max?

What does the AI Resume Builder do?

The AI Resume Builder creates ATS-optimized resumes tailored to specific job descriptions. You paste in a job listing, and the AI generates a resume that highlights the skills and experience most relevant to that role.

Resumes are formatted to pass Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) — the software that most companies use to filter applications before a human reviews them. This means your resume uses proper formatting, relevant keywords, and a clean structure that ATS software can parse correctly.

On the free tier, you get one AI-generated resume. With Plus or Max, you can generate unlimited resumes — one for each job you apply to.

What does the AI Cover Letter Generator do?

The AI Cover Letter Generator writes cover letters customized for specific job applications. You provide the job details, and the AI creates a cover letter that connects your experience to the role's requirements.

On the free tier, you get one cover letter. With Plus or Max, you can generate unlimited cover letters.

Note: If you use your free cover letter on a job that turns out to be expired, email hi@himalayas.app with the name of the job and the company and the team can reset your free usage.

What are AI Mock Interviews?

The AI Mock Interview tool simulates real job interviews so you can practice before the real thing. There are two modes:

• Text-based interviews: You type your answers to interview questions and receive written feedback on content, structure, and delivery
• Conversational interviews (voice): Available on Plus and Max, this mode uses voice interaction for a more realistic interview simulation

The AI generates questions relevant to the specific role and company you're preparing for, and provides feedback after each answer.

What is the AI Career Coach?

The AI Career Coach provides personalized career guidance through a conversational interface. You can ask about career transitions, skill development, salary negotiation, interview preparation, and job search strategy.

On the free tier, you get one coaching session. With Plus or Max, coaching is unlimited.

What are AI Headshots?

The AI Headshot Generator creates professional headshots from your photos. You upload training photos, the AI learns your face, and generates headshots with professional lighting, outfits, and backgrounds.

How much does Himalayas Plus cost?

Both plans renew monthly. You can cancel at any time and keep access to Plus features until the end of your current billing period.

What payment methods are accepted?

Himalayas uses Stripe for payment processing. Accepted payment methods include:

• Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, etc.)
• Debit cards

Payment is processed securely through Stripe. Himalayas does not store your card details.

How do I subscribe to Himalayas Plus?

1. Go to the Himalayas Plus page or Pricing page
2. Choose your plan (Plus or Max)
3. Enter your payment details
4. Your subscription starts immediately

All Plus features become available as soon as your payment is processed.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel at any time via self-service:

1. Go to Settings > Subscription
2. Click "Cancel subscription"
3. Your Plus features remain active until the end of your current billing period

After cancellation, you will not be charged again. Your account reverts to the free tier at the end of your billing period. Resumes, cover letters, and other content you created while subscribed remain accessible.

What is the refund policy?

If you are not satisfied with Plus or Max for any reason, email hi@himalayas.app the team will process a full refund. All we ask is that you don't abuse this. We're a small, bootstrapped team, so every dollar counts.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Yes. You can switch between Plus and Max at any time from Settings > Subscription. If you upgrade, the price difference is prorated for the remainder of your billing period. If you downgrade, the change takes effect at the start of your next billing period.

Do I need Plus to search for and apply to jobs?

No. Job search, job alerts, the application tracker, and applying to jobs are all free. You do not need a paid subscription to use Himalayas for your job search.

Plus is designed for job seekers who want additional tools to improve the quality of their applications — better resumes, tailored cover letters, interview practice, and professional headshots. These tools are optional enhancements, not requirements.

Is Himalayas Plus worth it?

Himalayas Plus is most valuable if you are actively applying to multiple jobs and want to:

• Tailor each application: Generate a customized resume and cover letter for every job you apply to, rather than sending the same generic application everywhere
• Practice for interviews: Prepare with realistic mock interviews before talking to actual hiring managers
• Present professionally: Create polished headshots for your LinkedIn, resume, and applications without paying for a professional photographer
• Get career guidance: Ask the AI career coach about strategy, salary negotiation, or career transitions

If you are casually browsing jobs or applying to one or two positions, the free tier may be sufficient. If you are in an active job search and applying to multiple positions, Plus tools help you tailor each application.
