Software Engineer - Content Service (hybrid or remote, Czech)

Job Description

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join Red Hat'sContent services team on an exciting journey to improve the customer experience through Insights. The Content service is used for managing repositories and RPM packages for RHEL hosts, and is accessible viaconsole.redhat.com. We are looking for someone with experience in building services, along with a curiosity and passion for learning. As a member of the Content team, you will work in a friendly and collaborative atmosphere, figuring out how things work and solving hard but rewarding problems.

What You Will Do

• Design, develop, and test new features for the Content service

• Contribute to the end-to-end delivery of the service

• Communicate with peer engineers within your team and Red Hat

• Collaborate with Support, Product Management, User Experience, and Documentation teams

What You Will Bring

• Experience developing software professionally

• Knowledge and curiosity about how package updates work in Linux

• Strong problem solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

• Ability to work effectively in a distributed team

The following are considered a plus

• React, Typescript, and testing frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress experience would be a plus
