Services Americas is the field service organization in Diebold Nixdorf, across USA, Canada and LATAM countries. We employ ~8,500 staff and have ~300,000 ATM’s in the field which we service. Our operations are a mix of physical processes (i.e. field service) and many administrative processes that support this. We are a profit center and are looking to rapidly deploy LEAN principles in how we work to deliver improved process outcome. This Lean Lead role will be part of a wider team in other geographies and in Global central support, focused on LEAN.

As an experienced LEAN practitioner, you play a pivotal role in implementing LEAN tools to improve business processes and help us change to a culture of continuous improvement. You drive business productivity, efficiency and operations through innovation and project execution and by leveraging LEAN techniques and methods through technology solutions, system enhancements and process reengineering to streamline and improve operational efficiency. You develop and apply data-driven metrics to evaluate operational effectiveness at the business, regional and ground level. You provide function-specific and cross functional support to enhance business operations effectiveness and efficiency.

• Applies LEAN expertise to consult and advise on complex processes and applications worldwide
• Engages with senior leadership to identify and define business critical process improvements
• Monitors business analysis progress and status, identifying trends and resolving technical and process issues.
• Advises management on functional progress, status, trends and issues.
• Engages with Business Operations management to contribute to strategic planning and priority setting.
• Remains current with industry, process and state-of-the-art technology.
• Leads functional continuous process improvement by recommending enhancements and applying LEAN tools/technologies.
• Provides function-wide insight and leadership.
• Develops project plans and schedules, including task assignments, resources, milestones, review points and reporting requirements.
• Broadly impacts the organization.
• Regularly trains, coaches and mentors team members.

• Minimum of 8 – 10 years of relevant experience as LEAN practitioner or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent Problem solving skills
• Ability to understand production processes and awareness about services operations
• Ability to understand and lead implementation of low level automation
• Ability to understand and follow all quality standards (ISO & customer requirements)
• Work towards increasing efficiency and safety of the services system
• Understanding of Maintenance processes and costs
• Basic knowledge of LEAN tools
• Ability to analyze complex services data and propose changes leading to higher efficiency and safety
• Must be a team player and understand motivating and leading a team without direct supervisory responsibility
• Self-motivated to implement goals with minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills including verbal, presentation, and interpersonal
• Strong analytical, technical, analysis, and computer skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on orientation
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent business English skills (written and spoken)
