Mónica Fernández

I co-founded and led operations at MIKO, building a food manufacturing and export business that delivered frozen products to U.S. retail customers. I led end-to-end operations spanning product development, production, supply chain, cold chain, and export execution.

I commercialized four frozen food SKUs and built operational infrastructure from the ground up, including equipment acquisition, facility adaptations, production processes, workforce planning, and logistics. Through process redesign and continuous improvement, I increased production capacity by 75% and reduced production costs by 15%.

At BRP, I progressed from Continuous Improvement Engineer to Coordinator, leading plant-wide adoption of continuous improvement and developing a seven-person CI team. I co-developed and implemented the GET operational maturity assessment methodology, helping identify capability gaps and create improvement roadmaps.

I connect strategic priorities with the details needed to execute, using structured KPIs, dashboards, cross-functional collaboration, and root-cause problem solving to move complex operations forward.
