Leon Santiago
@leonsantiago
I build API platforms and product strategies that turn complex needs into growth.
What I'm looking for
At Digibee, I own product direction and roadmaps for core platform teams, expanding integration capabilities by over 200% and reducing implementation time by 30%.
Previously at OmniChat, I built Marketing Studio from an MVP into the company’s primary growth driver. I led platform, API, CRM, and AI-powered marketing BI teams, including five product managers, while helping shape the company’s AI strategy.
I transitioned from engineering into product at Synapcom by Infracommerce, where I delivered Safy, an anti-fraud platform adopted by Samsung, Levi’s, and Swarovski; a loyalty system for Unilever; and an order management system handling more than 7,000 daily orders.
I bring more than 20 years across design, engineering, and product, and enjoy turning customer needs, business outcomes, and technical constraints into clear direction.

Work history, roles, and key accomplishments
• Established product direction and roadmap ownership for Digibee's core platform teams, bringing greater alignment between customer needs, business priorities, and engineering efforts.
• Led platform initiatives that expanded available integration capabilities by over 200% while reducing implementation time by 30% through workflow simplification and developer experience improvements.

• Used the North Star framework I authored for Marketing Studio as the foundation to design and build a full tribe of 5 squads, spanning platform/APIs, CRM, and AI-powered marketing BI, leading 5 PMs directly.
• Led the PMs responsible for expanding Marketing Studio into a full CRM solution, and separately led the PMs bringing AI-powered insights into the platform — combining learnings from the m
• Owned product for Platform & Integrations, a technical squad responsible for APIs and core infrastructure, improving performance and monitoring for a system processing over 12 million messages daily.
• Simultaneously led the creation of a marketing solution from scratch, a new initiative for a company that, until then, operated mainly around customer support. Aligned with and influenced Meta's
Promoted to GPM after a 9-month internal leadership program. Split the tribe into three squads: Data, Tools, and Critical Integrations, to build a unified Order Management System.
Transitioned from engineering to product, organizing the company's first agile squad and establishing its product ceremonies. Led delivery of Safy, an anti-fraud platform adopted by players like Samsung, Levi's and Swaroswiski; alongside a full loyalty system for Unilever; and a OMS dealing with +7 thousands orders daily. Scaled the team to 13+ across engineering, UX, and tech writing.
Grew the engineering team from 1 to 5 developers while owning technical decisions and delivery of Saturno (PIM) and Jupiter (WMS), two core internal products, and all BI dashboards.
Built internal tools and dashboards to support operations (logistics, warehouse, customer support and studio workflows) enabling data-driven management for the board.
Transitioned into engineering after my functional prototypes moved to production, building frontend interfaces and connecting backend endpoints for legacy banking systems.
Designed UX for legacy command-line banking systems, maintaining and extending a company-wide design system by translating manager requirements into functional mockups. Began building interactive HTML/CSS prototypes that proved robust enough to ship to production.
Designed UX for a book store e-commerce platform from scratch, including a reader-focused social network feature, defining requirements and driving development end-to-end.
Started in graphic design and animation for an e-learning company building educational experiences for government entities, including Brazil's Ministry of Science and Technology, several of which are still on display in museums explaining topics like energy and nature, alongside pieces shown at art-tech exhibitions. Fell in love with Flash while building these animations, which became my entry poi
