What I'm looking for
I have a strong background in health care, client services, and administrative work, with extensive experience in the veterinary field. I bring management and leadership skills, adapt quickly to new environments and software, and I’m eager to expand my knowledge while supporting a clinic’s daily needs.
Since January 2017, I’ve worked as a Lead Client Care Specialist at Haiku Veterinary Clinic, where I answer phones quickly, set appointments, request and call in medical prescriptions, and follow up with clients for progress checks. I also schedule surgery procedures, manage client checkouts and follow-ups, handle mailing statements and overdue balances (including sending to collections as needed), and train new hires. I assist doctors during appointments with safe pet restraint, blood draws, surgery monitoring, and inputting charges.
Before that, I served as a Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist at VCA Kaneohe Animal Hospital, assisting in exam rooms and procedures (including blood draws and medical charting), refilling prescriptions, answering phones, and checking out clients. Earlier, as an Assistant Store Manager at Radio Shack, I oversaw employees, supported new phone plan setups, handled cash and inventory, troubleshot devices, and helped with computer/software setups. My education includes a Certificate in Medical Coding and Billing and a Certificate in Business Management from University of Phoenix, plus an Associate in Animal Science from Windward Community College.
