We are looking for a Senior / Lead DevOps Engineer to take ownership of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD systems, and platform engineering practices within a modern engineering environment. This role will focus on designing scalable infrastructure, improving deployment processes, and ensuring reliability and security across cloud platforms.
You will work closely with platform engineering teams, security, and product engineering groups to build robust infrastructure systems and implement best practices around automation, observability, and compliance. The role requires strong expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, and GitOps practices, along with the ability to lead complex infrastructure initiatives and mentor other engineers.
Your duties
- Lead complex infrastructure and platform projects from research and planning to implementation and testing
- Own the lifecycle of AWS infrastructure, including EKS and EC2 provisioning, upgrades, autoscaling, and cost optimization
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows using modern deployment tools
- Standardize infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices
- Build and maintain platform tooling, environments, and internal automation systems
- Develop scalable self-service infrastructure solutions for product engineering teams
- Collaborate with platform engineering, security, and development teams on operational practices and incident response
- Improve observability and monitoring across systems using modern monitoring tools
- Maintain documentation and establish platform engineering standards
- Mentor engineers and support adoption of best practices across teams
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering roles
- Strong experience with AWS cloud services, particularly EKS, EC2, and related infrastructure
- Advanced Kubernetes operations experience, including cluster lifecycle management and scaling
- Strong expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code practices
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows
- Proficiency with Linux environments and scripting using Bash or Python
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and system reliability skills
- Experience with collaboration across engineering teams and technical stakeholders
- Strong organizational and project management skills with ability to work autonomously
