We’re looking for a highly motivated candidate to join our Product Operations Team and manage our Product Development Roadmap.

In this role, you will have enormous impact at Seismic—defining and driving the processes, activities, and events needed to curate and maintain our near- and longer-term product roadmap. Few artifacts are more important, and few roles are more broadly impactful.

What will your day-to-day look like? You’ll spend most days engaging with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and Tech Writers (at all leadership levels) to help add, synthesize, update, and translate product team roadmaps into a single-source-of-truth for all upcoming feature releases. Core to your responsibilities will be:

  • Defining, implementing, and managing the processes, tools, and governance structures needed to aggregate a unified roadmap view
  • Coordinating and facilitating product planning alignment meetings, including strategic planning, high-level release updates, and upcoming release readouts.
  • Routinely interfacing with key go-to-market teams and leaders to ensure their awareness of upcoming releases and release updates as they prepare their marketing content, enablement training, and customer engagements.

What will it take to succeed? If you are smart, driven, and eager to work across many business areas, technical disciplines, and leadership levels, this role may be perfect for you.

We are looking for someone comfortable interfacing with executives, confident offering perspectives, and interested in truly driving this program. The ideal candidate is quick to learn, able to absorb and manage many details simultaneously, and relentless in pursuit of an accurate, unified product roadmap.

What’s in it for you? Massive learning opportunity, frequent executive exposure, and a huge sense of pride from owning such an important product artifact. This will truly be a “practical degree” in how SaaS software is developed and Product & Engineering orgs run.

What you will be doing:

Primary: Product Roadmap Management (80%)

  • Manage our Unified Product Roadmap. Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, and Technical Program Managers to ensure our Product Roadmap is accurate, comprehensive, regularly updated.
  • Manage creation of additional roadmap resources. These may include sales-facing or customer-facing versions of our roadmap, which are sanitized, upleveled, and articulated through a customer-value lens.
  • Drive Strategic Planning & Alignment. Lead or help coordinate and facilitate key planning events, including annual Strategic Product Planning programming and other core strategy and release alignment meetings.
  • Design and administer Roadmapping Tools and Software. We use Atlassian Jira, Confluence and BigPicture Roadmaps to document our product roadmap. If other roadmap tools are advisable, lead evaluation and implementation of additional roadmapping tools.
  • Define the processes and governance for developing our roadmap. Help shape and manage key phases of our product lifecycle processes, including Seasonal planning, release management, and the sunset/end-of-life processes.
  • OKR and data reporting. Work with product leadership and Global Operations to map our product roadmap to company FY OKRs.

Secondary: Special Projects and Operations Support (20%)

  • Help shape R&D communications and training strategies. Work regularly with Tech Writers, Marketing, and Enablement to inform their decisions about what communications and training content to develop to support our roadmap.
  • Manage our sunset/end-of-life process. Similar to release roadmapping governance, develop and maintain our sunsets roadmap, facilitate sunset alignment meetings and work with downstream teams to inform creation of communications, training, and migration content.
  • Planning Tools Expert. Become a go-to expert for employing and optimizing our product planning tool stack, including Jira, Confluence, BigPicture, and several others.

What you bring to the team:

  • Relevant experience in product operations, product management, technical program management, or related product lifecycle and product roadmap experience.
  • Experience and expertise in an enterprise SaaS environment or eagerness and aptitude to quickly learn.
  • Be the authority on the software delivery lifecycle processes and champion standard methodologies, metrics, and high-quality planning and release standards.
  • Solid understanding of agile project management tools, including, but not limited to Atlassian Jira, Atlassian Confluence, Microsoft SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Excel. Knowledge of BigPicture Roadmaps, Launch Darkly, Salesforce Vivun, or Workato are a bonus.

Who you are:

  • Ability to learn quickly on a fast-paced team including highly technical areas.
  • Ability to handle interpersonal relationships judiciously, professionally, and empathetically.
  • Utterly organized and detail-oriented; a love for creating order out of chaos.
  • Intellectual curiosity paired with a high growth-mindset.
  • Strong influencing skills, with a reputation for getting things done effectively.
  • Strong strategic mindset, with the ability to see the big picture and outline key outcomes
  • Superb people and management skills and ability to interact with peers, senior Executives, cross-functional stakeholders, and external third parties.
  • Creative and driven problem solver with strong technical skills
  • Ability to break down complex problems into digestible components and communicate and own solutions.
  • Team-player attitude with ability to dig into the details as well as see the big picture.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including Executive-level presence and gravitas.

What we have for you:

  • Take time to rest and recharge with generous time off, paid company holidays and end of year company shutdown.
  • Medical, dental, vision, employer-paid life insurance and disability benefits
  • Access to Health Savings Account (HSA) with $1,000 Single/$2,000 annual employer contribution
  • Access to free paid telemedicine and wellness offers through medical plan
  • Fertility and family planning benefits with financial assistance for adoption and surrogacy
  • Paid parental leave and family caregiver leaves
  • Annual professional development reimbursement
  • Mental health support with 12 free counseling sessions for you and your family members
  • 401k with annual employer contribution
  • Equity program and performance-based bonuses

  • Communities of Belonging (employee resource/affinity groups)
