Job Summary
Architect I is an Expert Technology Professional within the team and provides software architecture guidance to multiple development teams. This role requires experience working on complex projects involving multiple technologies. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills as well as strong technical knowledge of current telco architectures and their components.
Responsibilities
- Partner in architectural discussions, decisions, design and implementations by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to define architectural solutions & requirements.
- Architect, design and document systems and solutions. Own the end-to-end solution consisting of CSG and third-party products.
- Partner with cross functional teams to evaluate and select appropriate technologies and tools.
- Solve complex technical challenges creatively, proactively, & independently, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Mentor other members of team.
- Provide design guidance and mentorship to application developers
- Collaborate with other members of the technology team to ensure appropriate solution designs are implemented across applications
- Participate in code reviews and sprint ceremonies (planning, daily stand ups, retrospectives)
· Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate into technical solutions
- Researches, evaluates, tests, recommends, develops, implements, maintains, and documents software systems, applications, and related procedures to meet business needs
- Responds to user requests within established timeframes
- Ability to multi-task by managing multiple concurrent assignments
- Demonstrated leadership abilities
- Understands implications of work decisions for the team
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent required; Master’s degree preferred
· Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience working in the telecom industry
· Experience leading a team of engineers and architects
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills
· Knowledge of software design patterns
· Working knowledge of major public cloud offerings and how to solution designs that are built around these technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, etc.)
· Proficiency with the architecture frameworks used in the telco industry, such as TOGAF, TMForum ODA, eTOM, TAM.
· Working knowledge of modern architecture modeling and AI tools and technologies in application to the software architecture design.
· Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment techniques and tools, DevSecOps, SAFE Agile.
· Working knowledge of database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, DynamoDB, Neo4j, etc.
· Strong understanding of software design principles, patterns, and processes
