What will you be doing?

Our Home Durables team is seeking an Account Specialist of Client Development to work as a partner with premiere brands in the Home (appliances/housewares) space. This person will be responsible for building relationships, providing analysis and value-added insights, delighting clients, delivering flawlessly, and driving revenue through consultative selling.

Job Responsibilities

Account & Business Management

  • The practice is seeking an experienced candidate with motivation and a willingness to learn.
  • Drive integration of Circana data into client’s business process and deliver revenue through a solutions mindset.
  • Build relationships with client contacts (all levels) and become an expert in client business initiatives and strategies.
  • Own the development of account plans for strategic clients and provide the leadership to meet the objectives of those plans.
  • Navigate the Circana organization by collaborating with cross-functional colleagues to leverage their expertise while providing the customer perspective.
  • Manage the contract negotiation process with clients and deliver budgeted revenue growth for assigned clients.

Industry Expertise & Insights

  • Develop home business industry expertise by leveraging proprietary data in Circana data software and information sources to develop analysis which help our clients grow their business.
  • Ability to identify, create and present a clear story with data that is relevant and insightful to each clients’ business.
  • Understand retail trends, as it relates to merchandising, promotional activities, and category/brand placement. Work with Industry Advisor to recognize important trends that will affect clients. Communicate those trends so clients can better prepare to meet new challenges.

Client Development

  • Manage day-to-day activities to enhance client relationships, including but not limited to, sharing analyses on specific topics, answering relevant client questions, training/educating clients to drive adoption and usage of Circana’s strategic data sets, etc.
  • Partner with team leadership and cross-functional departments to drive initiatives which support the sale and delivery of Circana’s solutions.
  • Problem-solve and maintain client relationship with adaptability, urgency, and positivity.
  • Understand our clients’ organizations and their business strategies, objectives, and challenges.
  • Attend/present insights at client meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 1-3 years of prior experience in a role which utilizes data and analysis to add value with clients. Interest in market research, consumer insights, account management, or category management preferred.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills and strong orientation towards building client relationships.
  • Very strong oral and written communication skills; confident when presenting to groups.
  • Ability to manage a client portfolio, budget and growth goals.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong expertise in all MS Office products, Excel, PowerPoint, & Word
  • Experience in sales, marketing, brand or product management in the appliance/housewares business is a plus but not a requirement.
