In my current role as a Texas Oncology-New Patient Intake Coordinator (September 2024–Current), I coordinate high-volume Oncology/Hematology referrals by compiling necessary records from referring offices and facilities, initiating patient outreach to schedule consultations, and managing expectations around authorization, turnaround time, and the order of care. I verify insurance eligibility accurately, follow up on incomplete referrals (missing records/authorizations), and handle a high volume of calls while collaborating with referring providers for urgent cases.

Previously, as a Baylor Scott and White-Patient Service Specialist II (March 2022–September 2024) and as an R1RCM-Patient Access Mammogram Scheduler (September 2021–March 2022), I handled check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, payment collection, escalated inquiries, and medical records tasks like pulling charts, filing records, and preparing documents for referrals. I also supported junior staff through training and mentoring, bringing a multitasking, organized approach to complex systems and real-time patient coordination.
