RONALD MWESIGWA
@ronaldmwesigwa
Programme management, administration and executive support professional seeking remote-first roles, open to hybrid opportunities.
What I'm looking for
I am a programme management and administration professional with over seven years of experience supporting education, community development, youth empowerment, and social impact initiatives in Uganda and across East, Central and Southern Africa. I hold an MBA and a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management, as well as a Bachelor of Science with Education.
Currently, I work as an Education Specialist and Master Trainer with Opportunity International, supporting programme implementation, training and mentoring, school leadership development, monitoring and evaluation, reporting, budgeting, resource coordination, and stakeholder engagement. My role requires strong planning, administrative coordination, documentation, and collaboration with colleagues, school leaders, government representatives, and development partners.
Previously, as a Peer Project Administrator at Mbarara University of Science and Technology, I coordinated project activities, developed work plans, followed up on budgets, monitored expenditure, maintained project records, prepared progress reports, and supported annual project evaluations. I also represented the project in strategic meetings with university leadership and international partners, including Lund University and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA). I helped increase participation in peer health and academic support initiatives by more than 100% within 12 months and recruited, trained, and mentored 118 volunteer peer educators.
My other experience includes supporting literacy and numeracy programmes at Building Tomorrow Uganda, contributing to youth and refugee-focused initiatives, and founding a community-focused organisation. These experiences have strengthened my abilities in project coordination, administration, stakeholder communication, resource management, team support, and organisational leadership.
I am interested in remote-first opportunities in programme and project management, administration, executive support, operations coordination, monitoring and evaluation, training, and international development, while remaining open to hybrid roles. I am comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Zoom, Airtable, Fulcrum, and Power BI to support communication, documentation, reporting, and coordination. I am also interested in applying digital technologies and AI-enabled tools to improve productivity and organisational effectiveness.
I bring a proactive and organised approach to work, strong written and verbal communication, accountability, and the ability to manage responsibilities independently while collaborating effectively with distributed and multicultural teams. I am keen to contribute to organisations that value effective execution, continuous improvement, and measurable results.
