Melanie Moser
@melaniemoser
I’m a Director of Patient Access with admissions, HIPAA, and Epic/Excel reporting leadership.
What I'm looking for
I’m a driven leader who thrives under deadlines and problem solving, motivated by the “what’s, how’s and why’s” to ensure best possible outcomes. I build strong teams through an engaged, no-excuses approach—being resourceful and stepping in wherever needed.
Since 2022, I’ve served as Director of Patient Access/Admissions at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital, after being rapidly promoted from Manager to Director within the first year. I work hand in hand with Administration and Finance to ensure process and procedures are met legally, ethically, and financially, while staying deeply involved in workplace and patient safety through committees and day-to-day ownership.
I’m a point of contact for insurance, billing, and financial questions, and I maintain scheduling and staffing for a 50-person team to meet approximately 400 patient needs daily. I also assist Medical Records to ensure charges, documentation, and HIPAA standards are met; train at the facility for Epic Cadence/ADT; and create reports in both Excel and Epic to determine focus areas.
