Hello, my name is Kayla and I'm an operations professional with experience managing publishing workflows, project coordination, administrative support, and content management for a growing publishing company.
In my current role, I independently manage two operational functions; coordinating with authors, designers, editors, distributors, commercial production studios, and external partners to keep projects moving from manuscript to publication. My responsibilities include metadata management, book distribution, documentation, vendor communication, coordinating commercial production and delivery schedules, distributing final assets and broadcast links, creating Canva marketing materials, content scheduling, and maintaining organized workflows across multiple platforms.
Throughout my career, I've worked across publishing, banking, retail management, customer service, photography, graphic design, and freelance opportunities. This broad range of experience has made me highly adaptable and comfortable learning new systems quickly. I enjoy stepping into unfamiliar software, learning new industries, and identifying opportunities to improve or create SOPs when processes are missing or unclear.
Because I've worked in so many different environments, I've learned how to quickly understand new workflows, adapt to changing priorities, and become a dependable resource wherever I'm needed most.
