Kenechukwu Okoye
@kenechukwuokoye
Management Consultant and HR professional with 17+ years improving performance, training, and investment facilitation.
What I'm looking for
I’m a Management Consultant and Certified Human Resource Professional with over 17 years of progressive experience across pension administration, banking operations, learning and development, and public sector investment facilitation. I focus on people-focused solutions that strengthen institutions and drive practical, measurable organizational performance.
In my current role with Enugu State Government, Ministry of Trade Investment & Industry, I serve as the primary liaison between prospective investors and the Ministry on the Enugu International Spare Parts and Allied Trades (EISPAT) project. I engage investors through meetings, presentations, and consultations; represent the Honourable Commissioner in stakeholder meetings; and guide investors end-to-end from initial enquiries to plot allocation and acquisition.
I also coordinate critical transaction steps—drafting Letters of Offer, collaborating on Sublease Agreements, supporting statutory approvals and regulatory compliance, and ensuring smooth documentation with agencies including the Enugu Geographic Information System (ENGIS). I’ve contributed to investor outcomes by facilitating investor engagement and supporting the successful acquisition of commercial plots by multiple investors, while streamlining investor communication and documentation processes.
As a Freelance HR and Training Consulting professional (since July 2019), I design, develop, and facilitate local and international training workshops for corporate and public sector clients. I’ve planned and coordinated 10+ training programs for over 1,000 employees, built HR policies and internal regulations with 100% compliance to labor laws, and supported online course development on Learning Management Systems (LMS) for national business academies.
I’m especially energized by performance and capability building—conducting workforce skills gap analysis, delivering tailored training solutions, and implementing performance management systems that increased employee engagement by 25%. Earlier in my career, as Head of Transactions and previously as a Cash Officer at Polaris Bank, I led day-to-day banking operations, championed risk management and fraud prevention, and supported strong operational results through careful reconciliation and process discipline.
