Emma Avila

I am a multilingual translator with formal studies in Spanish literature and philology from institutions including Aix-Marseille, the University of Alicante (Erasmus), and the International High School of Ferney-Voltaire. I focus on literary and marketing translation and subtitle work, with experience in Spanish–French, French–Spanish, Italian–French and Brazilian Portuguese–French directions.

Since 2021 I have worked with translation platforms and agencies such as BigTranslation, Translated, Flashtraduções, Oneforma and GoGlobal, delivering marketing copy, tourism content, and MTPE projects using tools like Memsource and Trados. I emphasize accuracy, attention to detail and meeting client requirements.

Earlier roles include co-owning and managing small businesses in Spain and Brazil, where I handled operations, staffing, budgeting and customer service—skills that strengthen my project management and client-communication abilities. I also provided online customer support in 2020–2021, producing clear written communications to support smooth operations.

I am motivated to keep learning new skills and to contribute steady, high-quality translation work for teams or clients seeking reliable linguistic support across European and Brazilian Portuguese markets.
