What I'm looking for

I'm available for interim, contract, project-based, or permanent assignments, including temporary HR management, leave cover, operational HR support, senior HR consulting, recruitment, and learning and development work.

I'm a HR Professional and Industrial Psychologist (Honours) with 20+ years spanning corporate HR leadership and accredited Learning & Development facilitation and assessment. I'm SABPP-registered, hold a Diploma in Labour Law (distinction), and am a registered Service SETA Assessor.

I built and led full HR functions from the ground up — establishing the HR department at ExecuJet South Africa and managing the generalist function for 211 employees, and leading a team of six at Wetherlys/Ellerines while sitting on Remuneration, Executive and Employment Equity committees. My HR work covers employee relations, disciplinary processes, recruitment, performance management, compensation and benefits, and compliance.

Since around 2010 I've also built a strong L&D practice — facilitating and assessing SAQA-registered HR, management and administration qualifications for providers including Curiosa Academy and, currently, Mind the Gap Learning. I've assessed 545+ learners, built and maintained a Learner Management System, run assessment-centre and invigilation duties, and coached learners through Workplace Experience Modules.

What I'm interested in

I'm most drawn to roles at the intersection of HR and L&D, where corporate HR judgment meets workplace-relevant training and coaching. I've worked fully remotely since 2020 and thrive in a self-managed, outcome-focused structure. Based in Stellenbosch, South Africa, fluent in English and Afrikaans, and open to interim, contract, or permanent roles worldwide, any time zone.

My experience also includes HR generalist work at Arcfyre International and divisional HR executive work at Wetherlys (Pty) Ltd – A Division of Ellerines Furnishers (Pty) Ltd. Across these roles, I worked on recruitment, employee and labour relations, HR compliance, performance management, compensation and benefits, and learning and development.
