I've spent nearly 15 years at Huawei Technologies translating, proofreading, localizing, and testing mobile and web interfaces, marketing, sales, training, and technical content for Latin American and European Spanish.

At Huawei's headquarters in Shenzhen, I worked with multilingual teams and product developers to test phone and tablet interfaces, fix bugs, and report on interface quality. I also prepared procedures and style guides, managed terminology and translation memories, and helped improve localization workflows.

I've managed translation projects end to end, from negotiating deadlines and setting guidelines to distributing work across a team of 10 translators, monitoring delivery, assessing quality, and resolving client issues.

Now I work freelance as a translator, proofreader, and QCER for companies in Uruguay, the United States, and China, covering life sciences, healthcare, IT, telecommunications, education, marketing, and HR.
