Anto Scatu
@antoscatu
Bilingual translator specializing in subtitling, localization, and CAT-tool-driven content adaptation.
What I'm looking for
I am a bilingual English–Spanish translator with a Bachelor's in Public Translation from the National University of La Plata and specialization in subtitling. I combine strong linguistic skills with experience translating technical, legal, economic and literary texts, as well as subtitling and localization for audiovisual projects.
My work history includes freelance and volunteer projects: contributions to research and legal translations for international organizations, TED Talk translations, and localization of video games and movie trailers. I am proficient with CAT tools (SDL Trados Studio, OmegaT, Wordfast) and subtitle software (Subtitle Edit), and I take pride in producing accurate, culturally adapted content.
I am team-oriented, quick to learn, and interested in applying my subtitling and localization expertise while exploring opportunities at the intersection of translation and AI. I have a flexible schedule and am available to start immediately.
