What I'm looking for
I’m a results-driven healthcare unit support professional who builds personal connections with patients and coworkers, and I’m comfortable in fast-paced environments. With 4+ years in customer service and 2+ years in management, I bring a reliable, “ready to help” mindset to every shift.
Since May 2021 at Marietta Memorial Hospital, I’ve supported bedside care and unit operations as a Patient Care Tech / Unit Secretary. I assist nurses/physicians with patient care by operating patient-care medical equipment, gathering updates on patient conditions and treatment plans, arranging admissions and discharges, transmitting medical records, and scheduling outpatient and inpatient appointments. I also answer patient call lights to determine needs and assist with early validations for foley care, PICC line cleaning, and ACHS.
In addition, I’ve worked in Nursing administration in the Staffing Office, including creating daily staffing sheets for RN’s, LPN’s, PCT’s, and HUC’s, directing on-call coverage, and balancing weekly schedules with shift coordinators and unit managers. I also manage schedule trades, coordinate coverage for calling off and patient-related calling off, and keep systems updated (Surgenet, RTAS, and EM Resource for ED updates). I’m now seeking an organization that offers better career prospects, professional growth, and work opportunities.
