Treantly is a Canadian-based recruitment agency that facilitates the connection between businesses in North America and exceptional remote staff in the Philippines.

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing financial records for service-based businesses, with expertise in QuickBooks Online and Desktop. This role requires a solid understanding of pairing payables and receivables beyond basic cash accounting.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple service-based businesses.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including pairing transactions and ensuring proper categorization.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed reports on cash flow, revenue, and expenses.
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure financial data accuracy and address any discrepancies.
  • Provide input on process improvements to enhance financial tracking and reporting.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting documentation for tax filing or audits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay: $5-6/hr, DOE

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in service-based industries.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required; experience with QuickBooks Desktop is a strong advantage.
  • Solid understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Familiarity with accrual accounting methods and financial reconciliation.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and internal teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Experience with additional accounting software or tools is a plus.
