VP, Cyber Risk Research

Core Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee a comprehensive cyber risk quantification research strategy that aligns with the organization's objectives and the evolving threat landscape.
• Lead a team of quantitative analysts and cybersecurity researchers in developing models that accurately assess cyber threats' financial and operational impacts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including risk management, cybersecurity operations, and product development, to integrate quantitative risk analysis into decision-making processes.
• Establish partnerships with academic institutions, industry groups, and technology partners to advance research initiatives and stay at the forefront of cyber risk quantification methodologies.
• Drive the adoption of advanced analytics, machine learning, and statistical modeling techniques to enhance the accuracy and effectiveness of risk quantification.
• Communicate complex quantitative concepts and research findings to a broad audience, including senior executives, clients, and external stakeholders, to influence risk management strategies and practices.
• Represent the company as a thought leader in cyber risk quantification at industry conferences and in professional publications.

Essential Skills/Qualifications/Experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience in cyber risk research, threat intelligence, or a relevant domain.
• Demonstrated expertise in cyber risk quantification methodologies.
• Strong understanding of the current threat landscape and emerging cyber risks.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
• Passion for translating research findings into practical solutions.
