Job summary
The Red Hat Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Royalty Accounting team is looking for a Royalty Accounting Manager to join our team in Cork, Ireland. In this role, your primary task will be to lead and support the team to ensure accurate revenue recognition in contracts with reporting obligations in an ethical, compliant and efficient manner. You will need to develop an in-depth understanding of Red Hat consumption-based model offers and programs as well as their corresponding processes, in order to oversee relevant team activities and objectives. You must have excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills. You will strive to improve team performance and collaborate across Red Hat. You will also need to be able to analyse data and effectively present findings and business insight to your stakeholders, including senior management. You will work as part of the EMEA Finance team reporting to the Senior Manager, EMEA Revenue.
What you will do
Actively lead a team in the delivery of royalty revenue accounting services and key objectives
Ensure compliance to policies and controls
Partnering closely with key stakeholders such sales, ecosystem, credit, order to invoice, global process owners, program managers, revenue accounting, business controls and other relevant teams to address process gaps, escalations or issues and support global strategic initiatives
Oversees the process to ensure royalty contracts and orders are processed accurately and the tracking of royalty report submissions
Hire, retain, coach and develop highly capable associates
Assess performance and provide feedback to associates to enable career development and adequate performance level
Oversee operations for month end and quarter end activities such as CCSP accruals, reconciliations, reporting and disclosures
What will you bring:
5+ years of relevant experience
Ability to manage multiple priorities by identifying and engaging appropriate resources to deliver under given time constraints and deadlines
Stakeholder customer management skills, both internally and externally
Solid analytical abilities with advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Experience with Salesforce.com (SFDC), Oracle, or RevStream
Demonstrated experience working in a cross-functional team
Result-oriented and comfortable working on your own in a high-paced environment
Ability to take direction and work without direct supervision to complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner
Third-level qualification of a business related discipline. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification is a plus
