Red Hat is looking for an Automotive Edge Principal Ecosystem and Business Development Architect to represent Red Hat as the technology expert in the edge computing market. In this role, act as a trusted advisor to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders, guiding strategic Edge solutions and architectural decisions. You will work closely with the rest of the Edge BU team and collaborate with Red Hat Product, Engineering and sales teams to help customers maximize value from our Edge solution offerings.

You must have solid leadership, technical, and executive engagement skills to guide alignment across a wide range of Red Hat and ecosystem stakeholders while representing Red Hat's global automotive business in support of Red Hat’s overall business needs. You will also play a key role in shaping product direction, identifying market opportunities, and fostering long-term business growth.

What you will do

  • Act as a thought leader and trusted advisor in Edge computing, demonstrating expertise in Red Hat’s portfolio and how it supports the Automotive Edge market.

  • Shape and drive Edge strategy by defining repeatable, scalable architectures that accelerate customer adoption of Red Hat’s Edge solutions on software-defined vehicles

  • Lead customer engagements by translating the capabilities of Red Hat solutions into value-driven Edge initiatives.

  • Promote customer-centricity and ensure focus on creating great customer experiences to achieve competitive advantage

  • Evangelize Red Hat’s vision for Automotive Edge across our ecosystem of SoC, Tier-1, ISV and GSI partners

  • Collaborate with internal teams and automotive stakeholders to drive innovation and support the evolution of Edge technologies.

  • You must have solid leadership, technical, and executive engagement skills to guide alignment across a wide range of Red Hat’s and ecosystem stakeholders while representing Red Hat's global business in support of Red Hat’s sales, partner, and customer business needs.

  • Advocate for ecosystem needs internally, ensuring Red Hat’s product and service offerings are aligned with key automotive requirements.

  • Act as a senior representative at automotive events and executive briefings, building Red Hat’s brand presence and credibility within the automotive sector.

What you will bring

  • 8+ years of experience in solutions architecture, technical partnerships, or product management within the technology industry.

  • Deep understanding of the automotive technology ecosystem, including Edge computing, hybrid cloud, and potential open-source solutions.

  • Strong ability to create and communicate technical strategies, develop scalable architectures, and provide technical leadership across multiple teams.

  • Strong ability to work cross-functionally and influence senior leadership across product, engineering, and sales teams.

  • Ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges

  • Architectural skills - ability to build large-scale industrial automation technology architectural designs and organize it in a milestone driven implementation plan.

  • Experienced in developing repeatable solutions

  • Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with technical and functional business areas becoming the “trusted advisor”

  • Extensive technical architectural background in one or more of Red Hat's portfolio technologies (or a competitor’s solutions), with the ability to quickly ramp capabilities on new technology.

  • Experience leading high-impact customer engagements, driving digital transformation initiatives, and influencing C-level stakeholders.

  • Excellent presentation, communication, and writing skills in English; additional language proficiency is a plus.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field required
