Principal Architect, Source-to-Pay

The Red Hat Core Business Platforms (CBP) team is looking for a Principal Architect to oversee the implementation and delivery of complex programs, each requiring multiple overlaps and dependencies with its partner programs. You will participate as part of a highly cross-functional and collaborative team, leading and providing support to the top strategic programs across Red Hat. As a Principal Architect, you will play a key role in helping define the target state technical architecture for the capabilities within your purview, partnering heavily with other architects and Product Managers across the organization.

What will you do:

• Collaborate with S2P (Source-to-Pay leadership to build a common vision and architecture based on Red Hat’s transformation strategy

• Develop and maintain technical roadmaps and as-is architectural views for all S2P-related technology stack to support the S2P business strategy.

• Support and contribute to prioritization and planning efforts that help realize the S2P technology roadmap.

• Develop future-state technical architectures ensuring adherence to enterprise standards in areas such as security, compliance, resilience, and integrations.

• Maintain close relationships with business and technology stakeholders, including product owners, platform architects, and delivery teams, to understand goals and requirements.

• Identify opportunities to apply technology advances to achieve business outcomes and guide proofs of concept and business case activities.

• Support project management/Scrum processes for strategic initiatives, including prioritization, sequencing, dependency analysis, and risk mitigation.

• Serve as a consultative point of contact for technical delivery teams managing applications within the S2P portfolio.

• Engage with S2P vendors and system integrators

• Participate in architectural review activities to assess impacts and ensure adherence of target architectures, focusing on S2P-related capabilities.

• Provide direction and definition for solutions that support overall business strategy.

• Participate in and lead the realization of key initiatives.

• Stay informed on industry innovations, trends, and approaches, and apply those insights to Red Hat’s S2P strategies.

• Contribute to elevating the architectural consulting discipline through coaching and mentoring.

What will you bring:

• 10+ years in SAP Ariba architectural roles with deep technical and business process expertise.

• Proven record of delivering solutions through the SAP Ariba ecosystem, optimizing, and transforming key Source-to-Pay (S2P) enterprise capabilities.

• Experience with common applications that support the S2P capabilities.

• Demonstrated ability to define and maintain strategies and technical/business roadmaps, including in complex delivery partnerships.

• Strong experience in integrating solutions across multiple systems.

• Proven ability to assess and manage the impacts of change on other areas of the business.

• Experience with capability-based planning and prioritization techniques.

• Superior written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to apply past experience to anticipate and mitigate risks.

• Proficiency in modern techniques like design thinking and storytelling to foster alignment and urgency around future-state goals.

• Ability to execute with speed and bring a sense of urgency to drive impact.
