Middle Java Developer

It allows fans with tickets they can no longer use to recoup part of the money they’ve spent and fans that didn’t have the chance to buy tickets when the on-sale, to access them at any time.

We are currently looking for a skilled Middle Backend developer to join the StubHub project. You will be part of the development team working with other engineers to create new technical solutions and efficiently solve problems using industry best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Participating in designing, implementing, and maintaining applications/integrations to meet the evolving needs of the business.
• Writing well-designed, efficient, reusable, and testable backend code.
• Covering source code with tests.
• Participating in development activities and sprint planning meetings.
• Assisting in preparing and producing releases of software components.
• Participating in troubleshooting application issues or bugs, diagnosing problems, and implementing solutions.
• Participating in peer to peer code reviews.
• Owning your code and responsible for pushing it to production.
• Following Agile values and principles.
• Assisting with CI / CD pipelines.
• Learning from senior developers and team members.
• Assisting with optimizing the performance of the systems.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of practical experience with Java development, preferably with use of frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, etc.
• Good understanding and some experience implementing microservices architecture and designing RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge and skills in SQL, with the ability to work with both relational and non-relational databases.
• Working experience using Docker and Kubernetes, with understanding of continuous integration and deployment technologies (Jenkins and Github Actions).
• Proficiency in using code versioning tools, particularly Git.
• Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and multi-threading techniques.
• Some experience working with Google Cloud Platform for deploying and managing applications.
• Proven problem-solving abilities coupled with good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills, capable of effectively conveying technical ideas and solutions.
• Good interpersonal skills with a constant willingness to learn and improve every day.

Would be a plus:

• Practical experience with Oracle databases, OpenResty, Kotlin, Node.js.
