We are looking for a hands-on Technical Lead to lead a team of developers building and maintaining Python integrations into customer support platforms. This will be an exciting role for a Technical Lead who wants to continue doing technical work and be involved in the design and implementation of new features within our platform.

You will be doing:

  • Working with the Implementations and Sales Engineering team to build new integrations for onboarding and existing clients.

  • Meet with clients to discuss requirements for integrations build, feature requests, and resolve configuration and support issues throughout the integration setup.

  • Maintain strong communication with internal and external stakeholders on expected delivery dates.

  • Improve system architecture for scale.

  • Facilitating sprints—running sprint start/end meetings, retrospectives, standups, and planning meetings.

  • Managing team workload and prioritisation, removing blockers that arise.

  • Reviewing pull requests.

  • Helping unblock the team when issues arise.

  • Writing code when needed.

  • Making sure our Support function is correctly staffed to handle client issues/bugs.

Job Content Breakdown:

  1. Writing code: 30%

  2. Reviewing pull requests: 20%

  3. Internal meetings (removing blockers, helping team members test/deploy etc.): 15%

  4. Planning and architecting new features: 15%

  5. Admin/project management: 10%

  6. Meeting/mentoring/hiring team members: 5%

  7. Client engagement (meetings, emails, Slack etc.): 5%

About you:

  • Have previously worked in one or more Tech Lead roles for 3+ years

  • Experience working with and meeting clients.

  • 8+ years working in software development.

  • 5+ years of professional Python experience.

  • System architecture.

Nice-to-Have

  • AWS experience — RDS, EC2 etc.

  • Strong database knowledge (Postgres preferable).

  • Experience building integrations.

The interview process:

  1. Call with our Talent Acquisition Team (15-20 mins)

  2. Video call with the Hiring Manager & People Team Member to discuss your experience and skill set from a technical and people management perspective. (30-45 mins)

  3. Take-home assessment (to complete in your own time).

  4. Final interview - we’ll walk through your task and ask you to make some changes live on the call. (80-120 mins)

  5. Decision!
