Cybersecurity Engineer III – AI Security

Job Overview:

As an AI Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting, securing, and monitoring the GenAI, Agentic AI, and ML models that power the technology products and services for Camping World and Good Sam (CWGS). This role is a critical bridge between data science and information security, ensuring that AI-driven initiatives remain resilient against emerging threats while maintaining strict user data privacy.

You will partner with technology and engineering teams to embed security into the entire AI lifecycle, from initial data collection and training to the deployment and operation of autonomous agents. This position requires a specialized blend of threat modeling, red teaming, and secure architecture expertise tailored specifically to the AI/ML domain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary subject matter expert for Generative AI and Agentic AI security, providing technical guidance on secure design, model hardening, and privacy-preserving architectures.

  • Conduct deep-dive threat modeling and risk assessments for complex AI systems, specifically addressing risks like prompt injection, model inversion, and supply chain attacks.

  • Perform and/or support specialized security testing, assessments and adversarial simulations on AI models and agentic workflows to identify vulnerabilities.

  • Define and support the implementation of security guardrails, best practices, and custom tooling to ensure secure AI development at scale.

  • Monitor and analyze security events and AI system logs to detect anomalous or unauthorized behavior in generative and agentic systems including oversight over unauthorized access to sensitive company data.

  • Research and stay current with the latest security controls, threats and vulnerabilities in AI.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that privacy and security are primary considerations in AI development and operation across CWGS.

  • Work with senior analysts and engineers to investigate and respond to security incidents and provide recommendations for remediation.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in information security, with a proven track record in Application Security, Cloud Security, or Product Security.

  • A bachelor's degree in information systems or equivalent work experience; an M.B.A. or M.S. in information security is preferred.

  • Expertise in securing autonomous AI agents throughout their lifecycle including definition, development, and operations within major enterprise ecosystems including Microsoft Copilot Studio, Google Vertex AI Agent Builder, Claude (Anthropic), Perplexity, Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, and OpenAI’s Operator agentic modes.

  • Experience implementing Model Context Protocol (MCP) for secure tool integration, designing robust guardrails to prevent prompt injection or goal hijacking, and enforcing the principle of least privilege across agentic identity and access management (IAM).

  • Proficiency in securing cloud environments (Azure, AWS or GCP) and leveraging modern security technologies such as SIEM and CSPM tools.

  • Familiarity with industry-standard security frameworks (NIST AI RMF, OWASP Top 10 for LLMs, CIS, or ISO).

  • Strong ability to translate complex AI security risks into actionable remediation steps for non-security engineering teams.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.

  • A passion for protecting users and their data.

Preferred:

  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or specialized AI/Cloud security certifications

  • Experience with incident response procedures.

The story of Camping World is a journey that began not in a boardroom, but on the open road, fueled by the passion of campers and outdoor enthusiasts. It all started in 1966, not as a sprawling enterprise, but as a humble small store nestled in Beech Bend Park, just outside of Bowling Green, Kentucky. The park's campground, which billed itself as the world's largest, had a community of campers with a growing need for a convenient place to purchase supplies. David Garvin, the son of the park's owner, recognized this opportunity. With a loan and an entrepreneurial spirit, he began selling RV parts and supplies right from the back of a pickup truck within the park's campground. This simple act of meeting a direct customer need laid the foundation for what would become a nationwide leader in the outdoor lifestyle market. The early days were marked by grassroots growth, with corporate offices housed in a nearby old farmhouse and a simple black-and-white catalog mailed to a customer list diligently collected from the store and campground.

This direct-to-consumer approach, born out of necessity, proved to be a cornerstone of Camping World's success. The mail-order division thrived, propelling the company's expansion for years to come. The journey from a single-store operation to a publicly traded powerhouse has been marked by strategic growth and acquisitions. A significant turning point came in 1997 when Garvin sold the company to Affinity Group, which later became Good Sam Enterprises. This merger brought together two powerful brands in the RV community. Under new leadership, including the visionary guidance of Chairman and CEO Marcus Lemonis, Camping World embarked on an aggressive expansion. The company began opening more retail stores and service centers across the country, eventually expanding into new and used RV sales. The acquisition of Gander Mountain and Overton's in 2017 further broadened its portfolio, solidifying its position as a comprehensive retailer for all things outdoors. In October 2016, Camping World Holdings, Inc. became a publicly traded company, marking a new chapter in its remarkable evolution from a small Kentucky store to the largest retailer of RVs and outdoor gear in the United States.
