The Opportunity

As a Principal Engineer on the team, you will be a pivotal force in engineering our solutions, primarily focusing on frontend UI/UX components.Your expertise in integrating AI into intuitive and seamless interfaces will be crucial in enhancing usability and transparency for our team members.
In this role, you will leverage cutting-edge UI technologies, cloud services, and the Ally.ai platform to drive innovation. You will mentor and guide our engineering team in best practices for design and development, ensuring that the products we build are integral and valuable interfaces for our team members. Reporting directly to the Director of GenAI Enablement, your strategic insights, leadership, and technical acumen will be instrumental in steering our engineering efforts, aligning business value with technical feasibility.

Leadership & Mentorship: Establish and uphold high technical standards by leading through example. Foster the growth of new team members by guiding them in hands-on earning and development.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with teams across Security, Enterprise Architecture, and the CIO application spectrum to ensure seamless integration and collaboration.
Design & Implementation: Develop solutions that not only assess but also highlight the intrinsic value of our service offerings, enhancing their impact and effectiveness.
Compliance & Security: Maintain an audit-ready posture by designing automated processes that ensure robust controls for security, compliance, and audit requirements.
Continuous Learning & Innovation: Stay informed about emerging technology trends, driving continuous improvement and innovation while embracing calculated risks when appropriate.
Strategic Initiatives: Lead efforts to refine our services and infrastructure, ensuring they align with and support broader business objectives.

Technical Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Produce clear and comprehensive technical documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing, making complex concepts accessible to diverse audiences.
The Skills You Bring
Preferred Certifications: AWS, Microsoft, JavaScript, PythonEducational Requirement: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or 7+ years of relevant job experience in lieu of degree
Experience:
- 5+ years building incredible user experiences into applications within AWS or other cloud services
- 3+ years implementing cloud services
- Demonstrated success in showcasing growth metrics to stakeholders in line with business directives.
- Comfortable engaging with executive and senior management, articulating technical strategies and results
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in UI/UX technologies (specifically HTML, REACT.js, typescript, vue.js)
- Proficient in Python, Git (GitLab) and familiar with AWS Cloud services (Lambda, ECS Fargate, ALB, etc).
- A solid grasp on APIs, JSON and some experience with ETL/ELT.
- In-depth understanding of AI principles, Prompt Engineering methodologies, and associated technologies.
- Experience in designing and building low-friction user experiences
- Familiar with Microsoft Power Platforms.
Additional Skills:
- A genuine passion for learning and adapting to emerging technologies.
- Experience with Schema/Data Structures is a plus.
- Experience with LaunchDarkly, Contentful, or LogRocket is a plus.

Base Pay Range: $110000 - $180000 USDAn individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer. Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
