What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a stable remote role within a collaborative team built on honesty, transparency, and accountability. I perform best alongside friendly, enthusiastic colleagues in an environment that acknowledges great work. True work-from-anywhere freedom and a healthy work-life balance are essential, and any opportunities for occasional travel or team meetups are a strong plus.

I started my career in PR and events at a Cape Town communications agency, then spent a few years as an executive assistant and office manager in financial services, and a stint on an international M&A deal team. Those jobs taught me how to keep a lot of moving parts organised and how to communicate clearly with people who don't have time to read long emails.

In 2020 I moved into a remote Data & Project Manager role at an NPO, XL Education. I ended up running the data and admin side of a distributed organisation: setting up and maintaining numerous databases, learning and then building Google Looker dashboards so leadership could see what was happening in real time, and training colleagues on the reporting tools and processes I’d built. I like being the person who can take a messy spreadsheet situation and turn it into something an entire team can rely on.

More recently I moved into lifecycle marketing. At Quickstart I taught myself HubSpot with very little onboarding and took over email execution, list segmentation and drip campaigns. I also learned Jira from scratch to help the marketing team plan and track its work.

I'm at my best when I'm dropped into an unfamiliar system and expected to figure it out. I ask good questions, read the documentation, and get useful quickly. I also have a natural eye for detail and perfectionism.

I'm based in South Africa (GMT+2), which overlaps comfortably with the UK and Europe and reaches into US East Coast mornings. I'm looking for remote lifecycle marketing, marketing operations or data and project roles, and I'm open to contract work.
