Samanata Kumar

I'm a brand and community strategist with a heritage researcher's habits, and after seven years I've stopped treating those as two separate careers. I trained as an interior designer (B.Des, Nashik, 2019), then did a Master's in Heritage Management at Ahmedabad University because I wanted to understand why places and the people in them matter.

Since October 2019 I've been Editor and Content Curator at Rethinking The Future in Delhi, where I grew Fublis and Eduwik from zero to an established community without paid reach. I turned a personal network of architects and designers into a recurring content engine for articles and podcasts, then full courses. My 20+ bylined articles average over 10,000 views each, and I trust that number because nobody bought it. On Eduwik I designed and validated course curricula and scripted 10 podcast episodes and 12 course storyboards from raw expert interviews.

From October 2024 to December 2025 I was Community and Brand Manager at Corridor Seven Coffee Roasters in Nagpur, working as the founder's direct partner across two coffee brands. I rebuilt the digital storefront and social presence using data to decide what to post, and discoverability and engagement rose. I ran multi-location coffee festivals and workshops end to end with a 200+ person team of staff and vendors, and whenever the founder was travelling I ran daily operations.

The research side kept going alongside. As Project Research Associate at Ahmedabad University's Centre for Heritage Management (2024 to 2025), I led fieldwork with the Rung community in Uttarakhand on trans-Himalayan trade and the effects of Adi Kailash tourism, in collaboration with ICSSR. I documented Laurie Baker's architecture across Uttarakhand and Kerala under a university grant, and wrote for UNESCO's Asia Conserved Volume 5, which marks 25 years of the Asia-Pacific Heritage Awards. Before that, a year with the Foundation for Living Knowledge in Kullu meant five government-guided school safety assessments and disaster preparedness training across several villages, which became my thesis.

I'm looking for brand, community, content or founder's office roles at companies with a story worth telling, or research and learning roles at institutions that want fieldwork done properly. I do my best work close to a founder and close to the people a brand is meant to serve.
