I am a health information professional completing a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management and bringing hands-on practicum experience in hospital HIM departments.

At Valley Children’s I supported implementation of the Cal AIM Referral Program, participated in HIM co-lead and executive sponsor meetings, and worked on EMR workflow and the EPIC application. In my Palomar Health practicum I prepared, scanned, quality checked, validated discharged encounters, performed EHR and EMR billing tasks, and followed record destruction protocols.

As a Human Resource Clerk I provided administrative and clerical support, demonstrated strong communication and organizational skills, and fostered teamwork and professionalism. Earlier, as a Senior Account Specialist I validated account accuracy, resolved past-due accounts, and consistently closed overdue accounts while following policies, procedures, and regulations.

I am BLS Certified and bilingual in English and Spanish, committed to compliance with Title 22, HIPAA, and Joint Commission standards. I seek to apply EMR/EPIC expertise, improve data quality, and contribute to collaborative process improvements in a healthcare setting.
