At Baylor Scott & White, I moved into a management and leadership role in a pilot project for the Financial Counselor Model across several hospitals. I worked with leadership to create the OR Financial Counselor team’s “Standard Operation Practice” and prepared department tip sheets.
As an Access Services Coordinator, I facilitated on-the-job training, monitored team activities, and completed monthly quality assurance checks. I also supported staffing across four locations and worked with department managers to help patients understand financial responsibilities before service.
Earlier at Baylor Scott & White, I worked as a Financial Counselor, helping patients secure resources and get financially cleared before high-cost procedures. I also scheduled physical therapy appointments and helped create standard operating practices for the scheduling team.
At Tarleton State University’s JTAC News, I worked as a Photo Editor and managed contributor assignments and payroll. I also used professional camera equipment as a contributor for the university yearbook and newspaper.
