What I'm looking for

I am looking to gain experience and expertise, as well as be of value to my employer.

I am a dedicated student of academia with research experience in the Microbiology field. I hold a BSc (Honours) degree in Microbiology and Biotechnology, and my research was focused on Biological Control of Insects in the South African agricultural landscape. I have worked on large environmental projects and been able to apply my knowledge and expertise to managing the day-to-day demands of projects. I have recently found myself excited by the data and tech space. To gain skills and better equip myself to enter this market, I have enrolled in a Data Science program that is equipping me with the necessary proficiencies including but not limited to SQL, python, and AWS. I am eager to gain more experience in related fields and learn, as well as be an asset to any company I am a part of.

Technical & Administrative Assistant

RSIR Consulting

I joined RSIR Consulting as a Technical & Administrative Assistant to work on an environmental rehabilitation project. My skills as a Microbiologist were used in the environmental analysis and research that had to be conducted. Part of my role was also dealing with all the administrative duties including project planning, community liaising, and sourcing and communicating with sub-contractors.
