I joined the company's Research and Development department to assist in various projects that aim to bring social and economic development in the KwaZulu-Natal province, South Africa.
WRI joined a project team and my area of focus was environmental management and food security. My role was to address and highlight the interconnectedness of food security objectives with sustainability objectives. I drafted research proposals, conducted research, collected data from varied sources, analyzed data, formulated findings, drafted reports, attended workshops, etc.
