@ilkaadendorff
Passionate agricultural scientist with expertise in microbiology and plant pathology.
What I'm looking for
I am an enthusiastic agricultural scientist with a Master’s degree in Plant Pathology from Stellenbosch University, where I graduated Cum Laude. My academic journey has been complemented by hands-on experience in molecular and microbial research, particularly in the context of plant health and agriculture. I have a strong foundation in laboratory techniques, including DNA extraction, PCR, and the cultivation of fungal cultures, which I honed during my time at the Agricultural Research Council.
Currently, I serve as a Junior Assistant Estate Manager for PT Rea Kaltim Plantations in Indonesia, where I manage fertilizer trials and ensure quality control in harvesting processes. My previous role as a Laboratory Analyst at AECI Plant Health allowed me to develop my skills in mycorrhizal analysis and laboratory administration, where I contributed to the continuous improvement of protocols and quality control measures. I am dedicated to producing high-quality work and thrive in environments that challenge my adaptability and attention to detail.
