What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a role where I can own claims assessing and policy administration, support customers with professionalism, and handle escalations confidently. I want a team that values accuracy, process quality, and continuous learning—while leveraging my growing Occupational Health and Safety focus.

I am an experienced Insurance Claims Consultant with over 14 years in the financial services industry, built around accurate claim assessing, policy administration, and strong customer service. I handle end-to-end support across short-term, life, and commercial insurance, with a focus on validity checks, technical advice, and clear communication.

In my current role at Nedbank Insurance (Dec 2023–Current), I assess the validity of claims and verify policy information. I manage the Nedbank personal lines mailbox, provide technical policy advice, handle escalations, and support customer service and administration, including rejections and settlement approvals over mandate.

Previously, at Old Mutual Insure (Jul 2022–Oct 2023), I worked as a Claims Back-office Negotiator & Administrator by appointing assessors and repairers for motor, contents, and building claims. I also handled claims queries and complaints, processed invoice payments, and supported rejection and settlement approvals and claims negotiations.

I’ve also strengthened my claims and servicing foundation through roles including Standard Bank Insurance (HOC Claims Consultant, Temp), Momentum Insurance (Death Claims & Administration Consultant), and Telesure’s Australia Desk (Senior Claims & Servicing Consultant). Alongside my continued professional development, I am currently pursuing studies in Occupational Health and Safety Management, adding an extra layer of risk-aware, detail-driven decision-making to how I support customers and manage claims.
