What I'm looking for

I'm looking to lead international, grant-funded human rights programmes that support at-risk communities, build meaningful partnerships, and combine trauma-informed practice with research, advocacy, and programme delivery.

At the Global Campus of Human Rights in Venice, I lead the Reconceptualising Exile project, securing university affiliations and supporting scholars and human rights defenders at risk. I have helped secure affiliations for 38 recipients and led programming for a cohort of 14 fellows.

I manage EU Commission and private-donor budgets up to €4.2 million, coordinate delivery and stakeholder communication, and contribute to grant writing, implementation, and reporting. I also lead Children's Rights activities on climate justice and child participation, and coordinate work with the Global Commission on Drug Policy.

Through Runte Consulting, I provide research, editing, and proofreading for organisations including the UN Population Fund, the American Counseling Association, the Global Women's Institute, and Trauma Interest Network. My work is grounded in trauma-informed, intercultural practice and includes research and advocacy on violence against women and girls in emergencies.

I've also taught primary and ESOL classrooms in China and the United States, served on the board of The Baobab Home, and chaired the American and International Women's Association of Venice. I bring experience across human rights, education, research, publishing, and international partnership building.
