What I'm looking for
I’m an HR and payroll professional who thrives on owning end-to-end people operations—leave management, employee records accuracy, and compliance that stands up to audits. In recent roles, I managed leave of absence cases from start to finish and partnered with executive leadership on hiring, retention, and workforce needs while keeping recruiting efforts aligned with budgets and cost-center limitations.
Most notably, I managed HR and payroll for approximately 150–200 employees across multiple Los Angeles-area states and facilities, running multi-state payroll and handling accounts payable/receivable for 100–150 independent contractors. I’ve also handled audits and compliance for OSHA, HIPAA, Joint Commission, and DHS, and led employee-relations work including investigations and conflict resolution.
Earlier, as an HR Manager for an educational nonprofit, I oversaw HR operations including onboarding, compliance, employee records, and workers’ compensation. I maintained Department of Education compliance, supported HRIS and record accuracy, and completed I-9 audits to ensure employment verification requirements—work that built a strong foundation for how I lead today.
