I’m John Michael “Mike” Dematera, a self-taught Data & Business Analyst with over 5 years of experience transforming raw data into strategy. Most recently, I served as the Operations Specialist II (Business Analyst) at TELUS Digital Philippines, where I built a centralized BI ecosystem from scratch—automating workflows, standardizing KPIs, and enabling real-time reporting across teams in the Philippines and India.

Using Google Sheets, Apps Script, Python (Pandas), BigQuery, and Looker Studio, I:

• Built data marts and reporting pipelines that became the single source of truth for all departments

• Automated manual reports, cutting turnaround time from 48 hours to live dashboards

• Standardized KPIs across LOBs (Sales per Hour, Conversion, CSAT, AHT, Absenteeism, Incentives)

• Designed dashboards used daily by agents, supervisors, managers, and clients

• Mentored junior analysts and helped future-proof the BI process

I didn’t come from a technical background—I earned my place through self-education, passion, and relentless experimentation. I’m obsessed with turning chaos into clarity and data into decisions.

Because for me, analytics isn’t just a skill. It’s the language I think in, the tool I build with, and the purpose I wake up for.
