Jean Kaluza

I am a seasoned UX Researcher and Product Designer with a passion for delivering high-impact solutions to both large enterprises and start-ups across Silicon Valley, Dallas, and beyond. My expertise lies in empathy-based qualitative methodologies, which I utilize to inform critical decisions through rigorous research. I regularly collaborate with remote teammates and customers across different time zones, and I am not afraid to travel to meet them in person when necessary.

Throughout my career, I have led various research initiatives that have significantly influenced strategic product decisions. As a lead user researcher, my releases boast a 30% increase in user adoption on average. This includes Pluralsight's "Projects" feature and Disney’s OmniChannel Platform & their Smart Trashcans, all of which were done in less than 12 months. One of the startups for which I led product management was acquired for $3 million by Pluralsight.

Coming from a 15-year background in technology, I can wear multiple hats if necessary, having worked on design & development teams alike. As such, I also work as the ideal liaison between developers & designers. I’ve run product management tasks, regularly produce rapid wireframes and prototypes, & can build hi-fidelity designs in Figma upon request.
