What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a role tackling real challenges in cybersecurity and AI, where I can build secure, scalable systems and improve security posture. I value environments that balance hands-on work with strategic input, encourage collaboration, and support growth in areas like AI governance, cloud security, and risk management.

I’ve built my career at the intersection of cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, and more recently AI-driven automation. I started out in technical support and network engineering roles, which gave me a solid grounding in how systems behave in real-world environments, not just in theory. Over time, I moved into more responsibility, eventually leading IT operations in a banking environment where security, uptime, and compliance weren’t optional, they were critical.

That experience shaped how I approach technology today. I don’t just look at whether something works, I look at how secure it is, how it scales, and how it holds up under pressure.

In the last few years, my focus has shifted toward AI and automation. In my current role, I design and deploy intelligent workflows using tools like n8n and modern AI APIs, helping organisations reduce manual effort while improving accuracy and decision-making speed. I’ve worked on integrating AI into cybersecurity processes, improving threat detection and response times while making sure everything stays aligned with risk management and data protection standards.

One thing I’ve learned is that AI on its own isn’t the advantage, it’s how you govern and apply it that makes the difference. I’m particularly interested in AI security, misuse prevention, and building systems that are both intelligent and controlled. That’s where I see a lot of organisations struggling right now, and it’s an area I enjoy working in.

I’ve also spent a lot of time working across teams, bridging the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders. Being able to explain complex systems in a way that people can actually act on has been just as important as the technical work itself.

Outside of my core roles, I enjoy building side projects, especially around automation and AI-driven systems. I’m currently continuing to deepen my expertise with certifications in networking and cloud technologies, while keeping a close eye on how the cybersecurity landscape is evolving alongside AI.

At a high level, I’d describe myself as practical, curious, and focused on building solutions that genuinely make an impact, not just technically, but across the business as a whole.
