I am an experienced Product Taxonomist with expertise in Data Governance and Item Maintenance. Over the past decade, I have worked on improving data within various content management systems across different industries. My experience includes building product taxonomy at three retailers, managing category-specific product details, intellectual property data, enterprise-wide ecommerce, supply chain and store systems settings, vendor data, and demographic data. I have also served as a system administrator, data governance expert, and subject matter expert, defining and documenting system functionality and best practices and acting as a liaison between business and technical teams.
In my most recent role as a Data Specialist at Quad, I have been responsible for reviewing and maintaining ad records in StiboSystems STEP in preparation for print of the next Grainger Canadian catalog. Prior to that, as a Product Taxonomy Senior Analyst at Lowe's, I led the taxonomy design for the DÉCOR GMM, collaborating with various teams to execute changes to the Collection/Marketing taxonomy and working on the development and release of a new in-house taxonomy admin portal. I also represented my team on a cross-functional Item Modernization leadership council and planned a full redesign of our taxonomy to introduce multi-value attribution, conditional attribution, and multiple levels of hierarchy. I was heavily involved in the agile design, UAT and utilization of an in-house taxonomy application built at Lowe's.
Before Lowe's, I worked as a Market Research/Intelligence Analyst at ServiceNow, where I built a library of industries, programs, customers, and use case scenarios to better assist clients. I also served as an Augmented Reality Data Associate at Compound Eye, where I manually aligned 3D geographical data and assisted with quality checks on segmentation classifications. Additionally, I worked as a Taxonomy Designer at eBay, where I redesigned the product taxonomy within the Fashion vertical for eBay's international marketplace sites.
