At Bule Hora University, I've spent over seven years teaching plant breeding, genetics, and experimental design while leading crop research, demonstration, and community-service programs.

I've managed the World Bank-funded LLRP to support climate-affected communities through sustainable agriculture and capacity building. My work includes seed multiplication, participatory variety evaluation, and demand-driven research on drought-resilient maize, wheat, tef, and haricot bean varieties in West Guji.

My MSc research at Hawassa University examined combining ability for grain yield and related traits in maize. I use field experimentation, phenotyping, quantitative genetics, and statistical analysis to understand genotype × environment and genotype × stress interactions.

I've developed a Master's curriculum in Plant Breeding and presented research at scientific conferences. I'm also engaged in climate advocacy, community engagement, biotechnology laboratory work, and training related to molecular biology, genomics, bioinformatics, and sustainable development.
