At Mechara Agricultural Research Center, I develop livestock research topics and review proposals and research activities covering poultry, animal feed, dairy, beef, and aquaculture. I also work on forage production, improved variety adaptation, participatory selection, and dissemination.
I work with ACGG (African Chicken genetic gain) to train farmers and Woreda experts in broiler and layer management and locally sourced feed preparation. My work also includes training on feed formulation, dairy cow health, artificial insemination, nutritional management, and hygienic milk production.
Earlier, at Bore Agricultural Research Center and Hidabu Abote Agricultural office, I conducted livestock research, provided training, and supported agricultural and livelihood programs. I have published more than 20 journal articles on poultry, forage, dairy and other livestock topics.
