I’m an agricultural development and rural livelihoods specialist with an MSc in Agronomy and 13+ years of experience strengthening agricultural productivity, food security, and community capacity building. I focus on turning field realities into practical, climate-smart program results for smallholders.

In my current role as an Agronomist and Senior Malt Barley Purchase Expert, I provide agronomic advisory to smallholder farmers, design rural field demonstrations and adaptive trials, and support tailored fertilizer recommendation frameworks. I also build farmers’ and cooperatives’ capacity through continuous training on sustainable and climate-smart agronomic practices.

I help scale agricultural impact by establishing supply chain linkages and contract farming models that connect cooperatives to competitive markets. I maintain procurement records and deliver technical monitoring reports, while coordinating with development partners, government offices, and research institutions for rural value-chain development.

Previously, as a Woreda Agricultural Supervisor, I planned and coordinated district-level agricultural and natural resource management programs, supervised extension workers, and led community food security and livelihood improvement initiatives. I also coordinated emergency agricultural responses during climate hazards, and earlier, as a Rural Job Opportunity Creation Expert, I supported rural livelihood diversification for youth and women through cooperative development and socio-economic reporting.
